10 982 people infected with coronavirus the day before - WHO

According to the World Health Organization, 10 982 people have become infected with a new type of coronavirus worldwide over the past 24 hours, 343 have died, Strategy2050.kz reports citing the Committee for Quality and Safety of Goods and Services of the Ministry of Healthcare of Kazakhstan.
Thus, the total number of infected people worldwide reached 153,517 people, the total number of fatal cases was 5375.
It should be noted that on March 11, WHO announced a global pandemic of coronavirus. Cases of coronavirus have been detected in more than 140 countries.
