Liberalization of e-tourist visa regime for nationals of Kazakhstan
The Government of India has extended Electronic Tourist Visa (e-tourist visa) facility for the benefit of the nationals of Kazakhstan with effect from February 2018. The facility has allowed Kazakh nationals to apply for tourist visas online without the need to visit the Embassy of India in Nur-Sultan or its Representative Office in Almaty, the press service of Embassy of India reports.
The Government of India has further liberalized the e-visa regime and reduced the visa fees as follows:
· a short duration e-visa for tourist, with one-month validity, with visa fee of US$ 25 has been introduced;
· to encourage off-season (April-June) tourism, visa fee of US$ 25 would be reduced to US$ 10 during this period;
· fee for one-year e-tourist visa has been reduced to US$ 40 from US$ 80;
· the validity of regular e-tourist visa, with a fee of US$ 80, has been increased from current permissible 1 year to 5 years with multiple entry.
To avail the e-visa facility, citizens of Kazakhstan shall mandatorily fill in the application online on the e-visa website: https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html
