First coronavirus death reported in Karaganda, 15 new COVID-19 cases in Kazakhstan

Karaganda region has reported first death from coronavirus infection, this is the third coronavirus death in Kazakhstan, Strategy2050.kz reports with reference to coronavirus2020.kz.

As of 11.15 am on April 1, Kazakhstan has reported 15 more cases of coronavirus infection: Almaty city - 1 case, Nur-Sultan - 6 cases, Karaganda region – 1 case, Akmola region – 6 cases, Strategy2050.kz reports with reference to coronavirus2020.kz.

“The man, born in 1958, was hospitalized in critical condition. He was diagnosed with pneumonia with respiratory distress. The man was taken to the isolation ward. Despite the intensive care performed the man died from cardiac arrest at 07.10 a.m. The man was tested positive for coronavirus after death”, head of the healthcare department of the region Yerzhan Nurlybayev said.

The man worked as a public notary in Temirtau. The close contacts are isolated. The potential contacts are tracked.

To date, 363 cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in the country, including 184 cases in Nur-Sultan, 83 cases in Almaty, 14 cases in Karaganda region, 16 cases in Atyrau region, 16 cases in Akmola region, Zhambyl region - 3 cases, Shymkent - 3 cases, East Kazakhstan region - 2 cases, Almaty region - 8 cases, Aktobe region - 3 cases, North Kazakhstan region - 3 cases, Pavlodar region -1 case, Mangistau region - 1 case, Kyzylorda region - 18 cases, West Kazakhstan region - 2 cases, Turkestan region – 5 cases.
