China's largest broker became trading member of AIX
The largest Chinese investment bank and broker, CITIC Securities Co., Ltd. has become a trading member of AIX. CITICS is the first broker from Mainland China to become a trading member of AIX, AIFC reports.
CITICS offers a broad range of services including brokerage, investment advisory, and investment banking.
"We look forward to CITICS supporting Chinese investment into AIX-listed companies which will enable all investors, both domestic and international to share in their returns and the contribution they make to the growth of the Kazakh economy", Chief Executive Officer of AIX, Tim Bennett commented
According to AIX Deputy CEO, Sam Wan, cooperation with leading Chinese financial institutions to finance local BRI and China-Kazakhstan Capacity Cooperation projects and further promote the development of the clearing and settlement centre in RMB in AIFC is also a part of AIX’s work within the China’s Belt and Road initiative that can help support the growth of the economy of Kazakhstan, through the development of infrastructure logistics and the emergence of new trade opportunities.
AIX currently has 23 registered trading members including Kazakh brokers and international brokers that serve investors in Russia, Europe and Asia.
