Bakhtiyar Artayev heads ‘Astana’ Presidential Sports Club

Today, during the presentation of «Astana» , the new President’s professional sports club Chairman of the Board of JSC «Samruk Kazyna» Umirzak Shukeyev introduced the club’s president.

«I would like to appoint Bakhtiyar Artayev as the president of the club , Olympic champion in boxing in 2004. Aidar Makhmetov is appointed to the position ofGeneral Manager, he will provide operational guidance to the club , now he occupies the position of Director of Public Relations Fund. He is honored Master of Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the graduate of «Bolashak» program for a long time, he worked in «Astana», the cycling team and so he knows well the management of sports teams inside,» Shukeyev said.
Remind that in the capital today «Astana» , the Presidential Sports Club has been presented, which will bring together under its brand the country’s leading image projects, such as «Astana» cycling team , basketball and football teams, «Barys» hockey club, «Astana Arlans» boxing team team motorsports, water polo, «Astana Dakar Team» rally team, equestrian team and other teams. Club has been created under the patronage of «Samruk-Kazyna».
