Presidential sports club presented in Astana

Today the President of JSC "Samruk-Kazyna" Umirzak Shukeyev has introduced the new Presidential professional sports club "Astana"

This is a Presidential professional sports club , which brings together all the leading teams of the capital in various sports. Our goal is to form a national professional sports club at the level of the world teams. It is a modern quality management approach in professional sports in the Republic of Kazakhstan," Shukeyev said.

As part of the club all of the country's leading image projects will be included such as "Astana" cycling team , basketball and football teams, "Barys" hockey club, "Astana Arlans" boxing team team motorsports, water polo, "Astana Dakar Team" rally team, equestrian team and other teams that will compete under one brand name" Astana ". Its purpose is to promote the image of Kazakhstan in the world.

The separate project provides funding for two-time Olympic weightlifting champion Ilya Ilyin.
