President orders to hold high-level 1150th anniversary celebrations of Abu Nasr Al-Farabi

Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a decree creating the Abu Nasr Al-Farabi 1150th Commemoration State Commission, the Akorda press service informs

“To ensure a high level of organizational and substantive preparations for celebrating the 1150th birth anniversary of Abu Nasr Al-Farabi in 2020, I DECIDE:

1. To set up the State commission for the preparation for and holding of celebrations of the 1150th anniversary of the birth of Abu Nasr Al-Farabi, (hereinafter - the State Commission) under annex.

2. The Ministry of Education and Science Kazakhstan acts as this Commission’s executive arm.

3. The Kazakh Government shall submit for consideration a draft republic-wide plan to prepare for and hold celebrations of the 1150th anniversary of Abu Nasr Al-Farabi before the State Commission by 1 October 2019.

4. The State Commission shall:

1) approve the republic-wide plan to prepare for and hold celebrations of the 1150th anniversary of the birth of Abu Nasr Al-Farabi by 1 November 2019;

2) undertake other measures to follow up on the present Decree.

5. Control over implementation of the present Decree is assigned for the Kazakh Presidential Administration.  

6. The present Decree takes effect upon its signing,” the Decree reads.
