Both chambers of Kazakh Parliament to hold joint meeting

Mazhilis Speaker Nurlan Nigmatulin has signed an order convening a joint meeting of the Chambers of the Kazakh Parliament, the Mazhilis press service informs.

“Acting on article 58, paragraph 4 (2), of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a joint meeting of the Chambers of the Kazakh Parliament should be convened on September 2, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. in Nur-Sultan,” the order reads.

The Kazakh President is scheduled to address the Kazakh nation on 2 September this year, giving instructions to the Government and Parliament to make criminal punishment stricter regarding serious offences against the person.
