Relations between Kazakhstan and Russia are exemplary - Nursultan Nazarbayev
Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev met with Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, the press service of Akorda reported.
During the meeting, the sides discussed key aspects of cooperation between the two countries.
The Head of State stressed the strategic nature of trusting and dynamically developing interaction between Kazakhstan and Russia.
“I have recently met with President Vladimir Putin. Our bilateral relations are exemplary, and we need to maintain them”, the President of Kazakhstan said.
Nursultan Nazarbayev also focused on the development of mutual cooperation in the framework of international organizations such as the EAEU, CSTO and the CIS.
Pointing out the important role of the Governments of Kazakhstan and Russia in expanding trade and economic relations and strengthening interregional ties, the Head of State thanked Dmitry Medvedev for his contribution to the development of bilateral partnership.
In turn, the Chairperson of the Russian Government noted that the result of mutually beneficial cooperation is the growth in the volume of trade between Russia and Kazakhstan.
“Kazakhstan is a strategic partner and ally of Russia. Our relations are distinguished by scale and depth, as evidenced by both intensive top-level contacts and advanced relations between the Governments and business communities. During the year we often meet at various venues. This is gratifying, because without such communication it is impossible to build full-fledged interaction”, Dmitry Medvedev said.
