Astana Opera Theater to launch 'Silk Road' Festival

"Silk Road" International Festival is scheduled on September 17-October 5 in Astana. Opera and ballet stars from Italy, France, People’s Republic of China, Russia and Kazakhstan will give performances at Astana Opera stage.

Original production of "La Scala" - "Tosca" opera directed by Luca Ronconi, Prokofiev's ballet "Romeo and Juliet" and opera of M. Tolebayev "Birzhan Sarah"will be offered to the audience of the State Opera and Ballet Theater “AstanaOpera” .

The festival will also host benifis Bibigul Tulegenova which will include arias from local and foreign composers, folk songs, ballads, instrumentralnye works.
