According to the analysis, there is shortage of 5600 doctors or 60% of the primary care physicians, including 1300-1400 rural doctors. 421 students, about 600 residents who learnt subspecialty, graduates of this year will go to work in villages. The deficit will be covered through the graduates of this and the next year,” S. Kairbekova told.
At the same time, she said, natural wastage is 1.5 thousand specialists a year, with an annual release of medical schools about 3 thousand people.
“After two years medical universities will prepare about 5 thousand students annually. The number of employed specialists increased and reached up to 2721 people in 2013 thanks to the measures taken. Ministry has signed memorandums on employment, distribution and retention of young professionals. The amendments have been made to the Law "On Education" for mandatory labor repayment of graduates in health organizations under the state order.
