Kazakh head of Government visited Industrialization Map projects in Aktobe region

Kazakh Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov has inspected the projects carried out within the framework of the Industrialization Map in Aktobe, the PM's webiste reports.

Head of Government visited the new ferroalloy plant of JSC "TNC "Kazchrome". The project is aimed at implementing innovative technologies of high-carbon ferrochrome production, as well as using new electrical systems, automation systems and DC furnaces.

The new plant will reduce production costs and increase the output of commercial high-carbon ferrochrome. The country's export potential in the field of production of high-carbon ferrochrome will grow by 16%, and in Aktobe region - by 46%.

The plant was commissioned in December 2013. Its planned capacity in 2014 will exceed 226 tons of ferrochrome.

After his visit to the plant, the Prime Minister gave a number of instructions to the competent authorities to ensure that the plant runs at full planned capacity.

The Prime Minister also inspected the progress of construction of a rail and beam plant. The plant will meet the demand for rail products of JSC "NC KazakhstanTemirZholy" and will export products to neighboring countries. Production capacity is 200 thousand tons of rails and 230 thousand tons of rolled steel.

Akhmetov stressed the importance of the plant for the development of the industrial sector and the region as a whole.

He also visited the regional branch of "Nur Otan" Party, where he was shown the region's industrial and agricultural projects.
