The meeting discussed the main provisions of the Address of the Head of State to the people of Kazakhstan "New Possibilities of Development in the Conditions of the Fourth Industrial Revolution". The Deputies of the Senate answered questions related to industrialization, development of the agro-industrial complex, transport and logistics infrastructure, introduction of modern technologies in construction and utilities sector, financial sector, the Senate press-service reported.
Also, the task of the Address "Human capital - a base of modernization" was discussed in detail, in particular, the new quality of education, the issues of healthcare, the qaulity of employment and fair system of social provision.
Also, in Karaganda, Senator Sergei Yershov discussed the Address of the Head of State with representatives of religious associations of the region. Imam of the Central Karaganda mosque Omirzak Bekkozha, Bishop of Sevastian Bishop Sevastian of the Karaganda and Shakhtin dioceses of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan, Bishop Adelio Del Oro of the Karaganda Diocese of the Roman Catholic Church expressed their opinion on the importance of increasing spiritual potential of the country, development of culture and ideology amid a large-scale modernization of the State.
During the talks, the issues of improving legislation regulating the sphere of religion were thoroughly examined. Representatives of the clergy shared their assessments with the Senator of the draft law "On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Religious Activities and Religious Associations".
On the same day, S. Yershov met with members of the Karaganda branch of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan in the House of Friendship. The subject of the conversation was the tasks set by the President in the Address to the people of Kazakhstan, the implementation of the state policy to ensure public consent and national unity, as well as the content of the draft law "On Amendments and Additions to the Law "On the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan", which was introduced in the Parliament of the country.
Senate Deputy Ali Bektaev made a working trip to South Kazakhstan region, where he met with labor collectives of industrial and agricultural enterprises, social facilities. The Senator told the residents of the Saryagash, Kazygurt, Suzak, Baidibek, Ordabasin, Tolebi, Sayram and Tulkubass districts about the legislative work of the Parliament and the prospects for solving social problems in the region.
The central theme of the meetings was measures to ensure the implementation of the 10 main tasks of President's Address to the people of Kazakhstan. As A. Bektayev stressed, the initiatives of the Head of State should become the ideological basis of a new stage of technological and infrastructural development of our country. Modernization of the economy, politics and national conscience are key elements of large-scale transformation of Kazakhstan.
The Senator recalled the historical achievements of our country in the economic and social spheres. The indicator of recognition on the international scene was that in January of this year Kazakhstan heads the UN Security Council.
A. Bektayev urged the residents of the region to make every effort to implement President's strategy of Kazakhstan joining the 30 most developed countries. "The Parliament provides legislative support for the decisions of the Head of State", the Deputy said. "Last year, the Parliament adopted 94 laws aimed at modernizing the political system, updating the tax and customs legislation, improving law enforcement practice".
Deputies of the Senate Yerbulat Mukayev and Nariman Turegaliyev held meetings with residents of the Akzhaiksky district as part of their working trip to West Kazakhstan region.
The topic of the talks with the employees of the district hospital, teachers and youth of Chapaev village was the discussion of the key provisions of the Address. The Senators explained the contents of the Address to the villagers and answered their questions. The speeches dealt with the achievements of the country during the years of Independence, work on the entry of Kazakhstan into the list of thirty developed countries of the world, industrialization, development of the agro-industrial complex.
In addition, the Deputies informed the participants of the events about the main points of the new Tax Code, the Law "On the Republican Budget for 2018-2020", other most important legislative acts passed by the Parliament in 2017.
Participants of the meetings told parliamentarians about the problems of the district. In particular, the villagers are concerned with housing provision, the functioning of agricultural cooperatives, the payment of childcare allowances. Anxiety of citizens is caused by rising prices for medical services and utilities. Pupils and teachers appealed to Y. Mukyaev and N. Turegaliev with a request to continue work on providing rural regions with broadband Internet. The Senators intend to send Deputies' inquiries on the issues relevant for the district to the competent state bodies.
The Parliamentarians also got acquainted with a daily life of the village, visited the gym "Arular alemi", the recently opened co-wording-center "Orken" and other facilities of social infrastructure.
