Until today, such a center operated only in Astana, now it appeared in Shymkent. The opening of the centers is especially welcomed by the parents of children standing in line to go on a quota to Astana", the regional Governor's Office informed.
In general, in the region to date, with neurological diseases on dispensary records are about 2 thousand children under the age of 3 years.
"Until today, in our region, there was no special facility for treating children diagnosed with cerebral palsy. In general, in the region to date, with neurological diseases on dispensary records are about 2 thousand children under the age of 3 years. To receive treatment, they were forced to turn to the children's rehabilitation center in Astana. This certainly caused considerable difficulties for the parents of the sick child. Analyzing these issues, it became necessary to open centers aimed at ensuring complete, timely, comprehensive and systematic rehabilitation of children. Today, owing to systematic work, we are opening two special institutions at once", Governor of the region Zhanseit Tuimebayev said.
It should be noted that one of the medical institutions is engaged in the rehabilitation of children under the age of 3 years. The second - treats children with neurological diseases in the age of up to 15 years. We note that, each of the two centers is designed for 100 seats. Institutions are equipped with robotic equipment "LOKOSTATION". This equipment is used for children from the age of 4 with the diagnosis of infantile cerebral palsy. All exercises performed with the help of this equipment help maintain muscle efficiency, promote proper formation of the cerebral cortex, and create conditions for rapid rehabilitation of the patient. Each year, 3,200 children will be routinely rehabilitated in each center.
Having familiarized with the possibilities of the two centers, the Governor of the region noted that in the near future specialists of the medical institution are to be sent to the countries of the distant and near abroad for further training. On the basis of this initiative, international trainers from Germany are expected to attend the trainings on restoring the locomotor system of patients.
