Kazakhstan and India conduct joint anti-terrorist training

In Bakloch, the Republic of India, the next bilateral anti-terrorist training "Prabal-Dostyk-2017" is taking place with the participation of special forces units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of India.

"On the basis of the training center of Bakloch of the Republic of India, in accordance with the plan of bilateral military cooperation between the Ministries of Defense of the two countries, an anti-terrorist training is conducted, in which more than fifty servicemen of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan and India participate", the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported.

The aim of the trainings is to improve the tactics and operations of the units in carrying out anti-terrorist activities and combat operations in populated areas, detecting, blocking and liquidating illegal armed formations.

In addition, a delegation of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan, led by Deputy Defense Minister Lieutenant-General Talgat Mukhtarov, paid a working visit to New Delhi in the Republic of India.

During the visit, meetings were held with Minister of Defense of India Mrs. Nirmala Sitharaman, Commander-in-Chief of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of India, General Bipin Ravat and Defense Secretary Sanjay Mitra.

Within the framework of the visit, the sides discussed the participation of Kazakhstan's peacekeeping company as part of the Indian contingent in the UN mission, as well as bilateral cooperation in the field of defense.

Meetings with the leadership of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of India were held in a positive and trusting manner.

Following the visit, the Indian side expressed interest in further deepening cooperation with Kazakhstan in the field of defense.
