"As a result of the introduction of online insurance, the population is able to enter into insurance contracts through Internet resources of insurance companies without visiting the office or participating of the agent. Also, there is an opportunity to apply online for introducing amendments and additions to the insurance contract, obtaining insurance payments. Currently, the legal framework does not allow the introduction of such a product in full. Accordingly, the requirements for automation and Internet resources of insurance companies, protection of personal data and security are expected", Zh. Kurmanov said.

According to him, online insurance will provide geographical accessibility and will reduce the cost of insurance services for the population and business. The insurance and payment procedures will be simplified, which will significantly speed up all business processes.

"A key element of online insurance will be a single insurance database (SIDI) for insurance contracts. The database will be a single accounting organization and a "repository" for compulsory insurance policies. The EBRD will allow to check the conclusion and availability of an effective electronic policy, provide the population with permanent access to their insurance contracts through a "personal cabinet", Zh. Kurmanov said.

He also noted that in order to protect the Kazakhstani tourists will be implemented by the tour operator in the field of outbound tourism on one of the compulsory insurance programs, in connection with the country and the number of days of the trip.

"The programs comply with international requirements and products and include basic social risks associated with the use of harm to the life and health of the tourist (accident, emergency/emergency care, repatriation). The legislative initiative also provides for the provision of an operational organization of insurance protection for tourists by specialized organizations through technical and medical assistance because of the occurrence of an insured event. Owing to coverage, the cost of insurance will be low. About 340 tenge per day. Insurance coverage - from 3.4 to 17 million tenge", Zh. Kurmanov said.
