Kazakhstan, Russia and UAE consider joint projects in space industry

Within the framework of the XV International Aerospace Exhibition "Dubai Air Show - 2017" Dubai (UAE) held an official tripartite meeting with the participation of First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin, Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE, Minister of Presidential Affairs of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Rogozin, reported.

During the talks, the parties discussed the possibility of developing joint investment projects in the space sector using high-tech innovative developments. The Emirate party got acquainted with the current state of functioning of the "Baikonur" cosmodrome and the prospects for its further development.

During the meeting, Sheikh Mansour expressed interest in considering the possibility of the UAE participation in the joint Russian-Kazakhstan project "Baiterek". In order to develop a further strategy and coordination of activities, an agreement was reached on the establishment of a tripartite working group for the development of joint projects in the space sector.
