During the meeting, the Heads of State discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation and prospects for their further development.
Nursultan Nazarbayev noted that Russia is an important strategic partner of Kazakhstan both in the economy and in other spheres.
"This year we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries. This year, mutual trade has increased by one third. New joint ventures are created in all directions", the President of Kazakhstan said.
The Head of State stressed the effectiveness of cooperation between two countries within the framework of the EAEU.
"Despite the difficulties, we are moving forward. Kazakhstan will be the most reliable and close partner of Russia. In addition, it is worth noting the development of our partnership in Baikonur", Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
Also, the Heads of two States discussed the schedule of forthcoming meetings and dwelt on the most topical issues of the regional policy.
In his turn, Vladimir Putin noted the importance and efficiency of holding such bilateral meetings, which are a key factor in the development and strengthening of interstate relations.
