"Currently there are no bus services between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan for the transportation of passengers, which leads to inconvenience when crossing the border. In this connection, we plan to open a regular bus route between the cities of Shymkent and Tashkent this year, and next year, between other major cities of the sides", Minister for Investment and Development Zhenis Kasymbek said during introducing the draft law.

According to the Minister, the ratification of the Protocol will give a positive impetus to the further development of trade and economic ties, and will also contribute to increasing population's mobility and strengthening bilateral relations. For each specific route, on both sides parity carriers will be defined, which will be able to work on one route for 5 years.
