N.Nazarbayev proposed to hold special meeting of SEEC on digitization of economies

Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev took part in the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Sochi, the Akorda press-service reports.

Presidents of the Republic of Armenia S. Sargsyan, the Republic of Belarus A. Lukashenko, the Republic of Moldova I. Dodon, the Russian Federation V. Putin, as well as of Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic S. Isakov and Chairman of the Board of the EEC T. Sargsyan also took part in the work of the Council.

During the meeting, the Heads of State discussed a number of topical issues on cooperation within the framework of the EAEU and the further development of the economic union, and also heard the report of the EEC.

During the talks, the positive impact of the EAEU on the economies of the participating countries and the importance of building up integration processes were noted.

Nursultan Nazarbayev emphasized the importance of the main directions of implementation of the digital agenda of the EAEU during the meeting.

In addition, the Head of State proposed to hold a special meeting of the SEEC on the digitization of the economies of the member-countries in 2018.

In conclusion, the sides expressed their confidence that the implementation of the agreements reached will raise the cooperation between the EAEU member-countries to a higher level.
