Matters of interaction between Kazakhstan, Belarus and Russia in emergencies discussed in Astana

The Vth session of the Joint Collegium of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation is held in Astana, the Emergency Situations Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan informs.

The Ministers of the relevant Ministries take part in the meeting.

The Ministers discuss the most pressing issues in the field of protecting the population and territories from natural and man-made emergencies, and responding to transboundary emergencies.

As noted by Minister of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan Kalmukhanbet Kassymov, the main tasks of the Joint Collegium are defining strategic directions and forms of joint activities.

"The main tasks of the Joint Collegium are defining strategic directions and forms of joint activities, the order of interaction of bodies and units for emergency situations of the three countries aimed at preventing and eliminating emergencies, including on the border territories of the countries participating in the Joint Collegium, organization of interaction in the field of vocational training and professional development of specialists, preparing the population for action in extreme conditions, developing programs and teaching aids in this area of activity, improving and developing the material and technical base, developing and the implementing of joint programs in the field of ensuring the safety of the population", K. Kassymov said.

Еhe Emergency Situations Committee noted that following the meeting results, a protocol will be adopted, where for each cluster of issues orders will be given for further cooperation, exchange of experience and implementation of activities in the field of prevention and elimination of natural and man-made disasters.
