Head of the Government Bakytzhan Sagintayev met with President of Latvia Raimonds Vejonis.
During the meeting, the issues of further development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation in the fields of light and food industry, agriculture, tourism, as well as education, training of civil aviation personnel and medical tourism were discussed.
Particular attention was paid to issues of interaction in the transit and transport sector and the development of small and medium-sized businesses.
We note that the trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Latvia in 2016 amounted to 126.2 million dollars (93.5 million dollars of exports, 32.7 million dollars of imports).
In addition, Bakytzhan Sagintayev met with the Lord Mayor of London City Andrew Parmley.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of economic cooperation in the development of financial services, small and medium-sized businesses, as well as interaction with large multinational companies.
