The organizer of the event was the Center for Islamic Studies named after King Faisal. Established in 1983 with the purpose of studying the place and role of Islam in world history, promote Islamic values, Muslim culture and art, it is one of the leading scientific and cultural and educational centers of this country.
The State Secretary of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gulshara Abdykalikova and Prince Turki Al Faisal Al Saud made a welcoming speech.
"In the CIS such an exhibition was organized for the first time. The exposition is devoted to the historical past of Saudi Arabia during the reign of King Faisal (1964-1975), which marked the beginning of large-scale reforms in the life of Saudi society," the speakers noted.
At the exhibition rare historical exhibits and personal belongings of King Faisal were presented: cold steel, awards, archival documents, photographs and other exhibits.
During the event, the book "Al-Faisal: Witness and Martyr", published in Kazakh and Russian, was also presented.
