9K public order employees to secure EXPO-2017 territory (VIDEO)

It is planned to involve about 9 thousand employees in the protection of public order during the world exhibition EXPO-2017. This was reported by chief of the Department of Internal Affairs of Astana, Major-General Amantai Aubakirov during the opening of the police department “Yessil” in the territory of EXPO.

The created police departments on the territory of EXPO-2017 meet all modern requirements. All necessary services will be deployed here: the duty unit, the investigative-operational group, investigators and criminalists.

"The department will ensure the activities for the protection of public order and security during the period of EXPO. After the completion of the exhibition, the department will also continue to carry out service for the protection of public order in the territory of EXPO-2017 and the adjacent territory. Approximately 45-50 thousand people living in this territory will be served", Major General A. Aubakirov told the journalists.

According to the head of the department, at present about 1,5 thousand employees of the capital department and officers from other departments, cadets of the educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Guard, security structures and volunteers are visiting the territory.

"The whole metropolitan garrison will serve in a strengthened mode and provide security not only in the territory of the exhibition but throughout the city. There will be a large influx of foreign tourists, because they will not only visit the exhibition but also the sights of the city", A. Aubakirov emphasized.

According to him, about 1,000 employees studied English language and can speak fairly competently. For this, volunteers-students who speak foreign languages ​​will also be involved.

It is worth noting that this service on the territory of EXPO-2017 has been working since January 1 last year. More than 2 thousand cameras are installed on the territory.
