Deputy Prime Minister Imangali Tasmagambetov chaired a conference on assisting corporate foundation "SOS Children's Villages Kazakhstan".
The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Corporate Fund Board of Trustees of «SOS Children's Villages Kazakhstan» Serik Seidumanov, deputy akims of Almaty, Astana and Karaganda region, the Secretariat of the Deputy of the Prime Minister.
This year, "SOS Children's Villages of Kazakhstan" reach 20 years. For the first time foster families appeared in Almaty in the 90s. This year, SOS Children's Village in Temirtau achieved 100% financing of the maintenance of orphans and children without parental care. In order to implement this funding system in Almaty, the akimat considers it necessary to change the form of ownership.
Following the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister I. Tasmagambetov charged the akimats of Karaganda region, Almaty and Astana cities to assist the Corporate Fund "SOS Children's Villages of Kazakhstan" in the preparation and holding of the 20th anniversary of the children's villages in Kazakhstan.
In addition, the Deputy Prime Minister stressed the need to purchase the necessary equipment, as well as to consider a phased transition to 2020 for full coverage of financing to support children left without parental care in the SOS children's villages.
In order to provide children the right to live and grow up in an intact family corporate foundation "SOS Children's Villages Kazakhstan"was encouraged to consider the establishment of foster families from among SOS-mothers, as well as transforming SOS children's villages in the children's support centers.
