Kazakhstan to hold free workshops for 10K farmers

By order of the Ministry of Agriculture, all regions of Kazakhstan will hold free workshops for farmers. In total, the state program allocated about a billion tenge.

This year, the Ministry of Agriculture is implementing a budget information support program for agribusiness entities. National Chamber of Entrepreneurs "Atameken" is the main actor of the project. 

"We plan to conduct 660 workshops across Kazakhstan and cover about ten thousand farmers. Seminars will be held in 25 priority sectors defined by the Ministry of Agriculture -13 in livestock and 12 in crop production. One of the main problems - lack of information provision. If we want to be competitive, our farmers should be aware of all the innovations", - said the center's director.

Moreover, 25 foreign experts are involved in the program. They will share the methodology seminars, communicative capabilities. The program's budget is around one billion tenge.

"Until November we plan to cover all regions of Kazakhstan. Our goal is not just to train 10,000 farmers, but give them modern solutions, innovative technologies to increase the efficiency. In this large-scale program of state allocated about one billion tenge", - said T. Rakhimbekov.
