Kazakh diplomat informed the Malaysian politician on socio-economic and political situation in Kazakhstan and the key areas of development outlined in the President's Message "Kazakhstan - 2050 Strategy". D.Sarekenov also said about key international initiatives of Kazakhstan, described preparation activities connected with the international exhibition "EXPO -2017", aims and objectives of the global dialogue platform called Astana Economic Forum (AEF). The diplomat invited M.Mohamad to take part in the VII and II AEF World crisis conference in May 2014.
The sides also exchanged views on the current state and prospects of development of Kazakh-Malaysian relations.
The Ambassador noted that since the establishment of diplomaticties Kazakh-Malaysian relations have been developing dynamically, and a regular political dialogue has been established, including the one at the highest level, the growing mutual interest in strengthening cooperation in trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
In turn, the Malaysian politician has expressed satisfaction with the pace of development of bilateral relations. According to him, Kazakhstan and Malaysia are united by similarity of socio-cultural, spiritual and ethnic diversity. M.Mohamad confirmed the interest of the Malaysian side in further development of bilateral economic and trade cooperation, and expanding business contacts. In this context important is the role of the Joint Economic and Trade Committee and the Kazakh-Malaysian Business Council.
At the end of the talks M.Mohamad conveyed the heartfelt gratitude to President Nursultan Nazarbayev and wished good health and prosperity to the people of Kazakhstan.
