“According to analysis of administrative cases held by the Supreme Court, over the past 6 years in Kazakhstan judicial acts have protected rights of legal entities, including foreign investors, for the sum totaling more than 240 billion tenge. For comparison, only about 40 billion tenge have recovered in profit of state,” he stated.

Besides, for 2014 the courts of first instance granted 41% of all applications on disputed decisions of the state bodies and officials.

“Nearly one-third disputed actions of tax and customs authorities deemed illegal. That's a pretty high figure, considering the practice of foreign countries,” the judge noted.
